Day 1 : The Beginning

I have heard of people doing photo 365 in which they take pictures every day for a year and thought it was a great idea. After seeing some friends make theirs, I knew I was going to make one but always put it off onto another day. But today I stumbled upon something truly extraordinary.

A man named Jamie Livingston took a Polaroid every day starting March 31st, 1979 to October 25th, 1997 - the day he died. The pictures gave a small insight as to who he was as a person and documented his battle with cancer in his later years. They can be seen here... http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/26f8Ia/www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/15131

Today I also went to a Pawn shop to try and get a loan to pay my September rent. I tried to pawn the most expensive thing that I had; my camcorder. The owner of the shop told me he wouldn't give me more than $100 for it when I paid over $1200 for it. So while I walked out still broke, I realized that my camcorder is worth way more than $100 or $1200 or even $10,000 because without it, I can't create and share my thoughts with the rest of the world. That is why the blog is No Money Necessary.

These two events have inspired me to be more like Jamie Livingston. Every day I will take a picture and an explanation as to what it is. I am not that experienced with photography yet, but will do the best I can with my Sony camcorder. Who knows, I might even post some videos as well.

Hopefully I can look back a long time from now at the years of my life to see how it turned out. While I have plans on the future, they are very likely to change and I am eager to see what awaits. If anything, I hope that someone, years from now, may stumble upon the pictures of my life and be inspired to document their own.

Now for the picture. Today's picture is of my dog, Brooklyn. Technically she isn't my dog (Spencer Rotan's) but I will be living with her for the next year and have helped raise her since she was a pup. She has a very funny personality and is extremely noble. I took this picture downstairs from our apartment. She was stoked to be outside but was kinda scared of the camera. After I while though she struck some poses for me. I caught her mid blink on this one.
