Since I am in the animation class, I talked to Driskel about checking out the 16mm bolex for my animation project I am doing for Reel Loud. He said it was ok and now I have it. It came in this old, WWII box that has been to hell and back.
Inside its thin candy shell is this ancient camera that has a motor on it for taking single images. I have worked with 16mm cameras before but never for stop motion.
Keith even gave me 100feet of test film. Fuck yes!
This thing is a beauty and I guess Don Hertzfeldt himself used it for the four years he was here which makes it even cooler.
Now that I have this new longer lense, I need to get a flash.
